The Kashmir Valley, also known as the Vale of Kashmir, is an intermontane valley in the portion of the Kashmir region administered by India. The valley is bounded on the southwest by the Pir Panjal Range and on the northeast by the main Himalayas range.

Day 1
Arrive Srinagar

Arrive Srinagar, where you will be met upon arrival by Global Colors of India representative and transfer to houseboat. After check-in enjoy Kashmiri Kehwa (Saffron Tea). Late afternoon, enjoy Shikara ride on famous Dal Lake & visit floating market and vegetable gardens, etc.

Day 2
Pahalgam

After breakfast drive to Pahalgam (Valley of Shepherds). Drive through Saffron fields, visit Awantipura ruins (1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiwareman). Continue to drive through the pine forest and along Lidder River. The total distance of about 94 km will be covered in about 3 hrs. On arrival, transfer to hotel. Afternoon stroll around Pahalgam & feed your camera with beautiful scenery & magnificent mountains. Dinner & overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3
Pahalgam Local

Today after breakfast, depart for excursion trip to Chandanwadi (starting point of Amarnath Yatra) & Betab valley, located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named Betaab after the Bollywood movie by the same name! Earlier known as Hajan Valley, after the release of the movie, it was renamed as a major part of the movie was shot here.

Post lunch (at your own) proceed for a trip to Aru Valley – Aru Valley is a tourist spot 11 km from Pahalgam noted for its scenic meadows, and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies of the left bank of the Aru river, which is a tributary of the Lidder river. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Pahalgam.

Day 4
Pahalgam - Gulmarg (140 Km / approx 4 hrs)

Today after breakfast enjoy a picturesque drive to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers, 2730 mts above sea level Gulmarg offers spectacular views of snow-capped mountain peaks, conifer forests and green meadows; it is home to the highest 18 hole golf course of the world. One can also have the view of Nanga Parbhat if weather permits. The view en route from Tangmarg to Gulmarg is fascinating. Thereafter time is free for activities on your own. You may enjoy an optional sledge ride or Cable car ride on the snow-covered slopes (on direct payment basis). Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5
Gulmarg - Srinagar (55Kms / approx 2 Hrs)

After breakfast drive back to Srinagar. On arrival in Srinagar, transfer to hotel. Later proceed for sightseeing of Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Abode of pleasure) built by Asif Khan brother in law of Jehangir in 1632 AD and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background. On the way visit Carpet weaving factory where one can witness how carpets are made. Also visit Shankaracharya Temple situated on a hill, where one can have bird’s eye view of Srinagar city. Dinner & Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6
Depart from Srinagar

Today after breakfast, transfer to Srinagar airport to board the return flight with Happy Memories!
